Frequently Asked Questions
Q.  What is the cost of shipping?
A.  Ground shipping is free in the continental United States (excluding
Alaska and Hawaii) and is by UPS.  If next day air or two day air is desired we
will use Fedex or UPS and charge you the difference in cost between ground
and air shipping. If UPS delivery is a problem, we can ship via U.S. Postal
     Service

Q.  When will the urn be shipped?
A.  Normally we will ship the same or the next day after the order is
received. Custom orders of course will take longer depending on the urn
ordered.  If there is any problem we will contact you by email or phone. If
engraving is desired it could take an extra day to get the urn engraved.  We will
email you with the UPS tracking number and promised date of delivery.

Q.  How long will it take for the urn to arrive?
A.  The west coast takes 7 days to arrive.  Anything east of there will take
correspondingly less time.  Most destinations on the east coast arrive within
one to three days, except Florida which takes 5 to 6 days.

Q.  How is the urn packaged?
A.  Each urn is individually packaged using 2 inches of foam padding
above and below it as well as having 2 inches of padding around the
outside perimeter of the urn.  The urn also will be enclosed in a soft velvet
     presentation bag.

Q.  How do I clean the urn?
A.  Wood urns may be cleaned using a soft dry cloth.  Stone urns may be
cleaned of fingerprints, smudges, etc.,  by using a damp cloth and drying with a
soft cloth.   NOTE: DO NOT USE SPRAY POLISH such as "Pledge" on the face
of the etched and painted urns as it will leave a dull wax film on the painting.

Q.  What is the size of your urns?
A.  All our single adult urns exceed 200 cubic inches in volume.  The standard in
the industry is 195 - 205 cubic inches, using one cubic inch for each pound of
     body weight as a guide.

Q.  Do you take credit cards?
A.  Yes, we accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover.  We do not see you credit
card number since your payment is directly deposited into our account using
"PayPal".  Checks and Money Orders are also accepted.  We will, however,
ask you for  your credit card number if you desire etching, as "  PayPal" is
not set up to accept these charges.  The card number will be purged from our
system immediately after it is entered.

Q.  What is the difference between marble and granite?
A.  Basically, due to the amount of Silica and other materials in it, marble is
generally softer than granite.  As a rule the lighter color the stone the softer it is.

Q.  Are your urns really made in Vermont?
A.  Yes they are.  The wood urns are made in Groton, Vt, and the stone are made
      in Proctor, Vt.

Q.  Can I have whatever I want engraved on the urn?
A.  Yes as long as we can upload it into the laser's computer.

Q.  Are your etched and painted urns really done by hand?
A.  Yes they are hand etched and hand painted by a talented artist in Brandon, VT.
(see Jackee on our home page)

Q. How are the ashes transferred into the urn?
A.  HARDWOOD - Simply unscrew the bottom of the urn and place the entire bag
of cremains that comes back from the crematory into the urn.  Do not open the
bag nor pour the cremains into the hardwood urns.
STONE - There is a 2 inch screw cap on the bottom of the urn.  Remove the cap
and pour the cremains from the plastic bag into the hole on the bottom of the urn.
We suggest having the funeral home or crematorium you used make the transfer
  for you.

Q.  How are the ashes transferred into the keepsake jewelry and how many
      ashes do they hold?
A.  Each piece of keepsake jewelry comes with a small funnel through which the
cremated remains may be transferred into the jewelry.  There is a screw-on cap
on the top of the pendant which is unscrewed and the ashes are inserted into
the body of the pendant.  The amount of ashes each pendant will hold will vary
depending on the size of the piece selected, however a good rule is about
1/2 a teaspoon.  We suggest you have your funeral home or crematorium
     make the transfer for you.

Q. Do you ship internationally?
A.  Yes we do.  We usually ship internationally via U. S. Postal Service, since that
is the least expensive method.  All international shipments are F.O.B, our
warehouse in Rutland, Vermont. Shipments to Canada usually take 10 days to
  arrive.
